To commemorate the FINAL episode of Agatha Christie’s Poirot, we’re giving all new customer 50% off in the App Store on both Poirot and Miss Marple for iOS.
Curtain: Poirot’s Last Case is broadcast in the UK on ITV on November 13th 2013. Our sale will be on from now until the 14th.
We’ll catch it as soon as it’s available on iTunes – sadly we can’t see ITV over in the US.
If you haven’t already, make sure to watch The Mysterious Affair At Styles before Curtain: it’s the very first novel Mrs. Christie wrote, and hence the one in which Hercules Poirot is introduced. In Curtain, he returns to the same place (Styles) with Captain Hastings, many decades later. These two stories are the Alpha and Omega of Poirot, and it’ll be very exciting to see what the production team have cooked up for us.
Au revoir, Poirot!
Apple have approved our Poriot for iOS 1.6 update yesterday which corrects the dates for the last three episodes in the season.
There was a discrepancy between what IMDb stated and the UK Release Dates, with IMDb stating the earliest release date. Turns out that Poland saw The Big Four nearly three weeks before viewers in the UK.
In addition I’ve added a fix to make browsing inside the app more reliable. As always, enjoy!
The Labours of Hercules – now on iTunes
As of this morning you can watch the latest episode in the saga on iTunes UK, only a couple of days after the UK air date. We’re very much looking forward to this, having enjoyed The Big Four and Mark Gatiss’ adaptation of the script only last week. See details in the ITV Press Release.
I’ve been working on adding iCloud to the app over the last week, and it all goes well the update should hit the App Store before the final instalment of Curtain: Poirot’s Last Case on the 13th of November.
The final air dates are here, and it’s time to make them available to all Poirot for iOS users. And as of this morning, the latest version of your favourite Poirot App is available on the App Store.
According to the Agatha Christie Newsletter there will be a special edition of Curtain featuring David Suchet as an ageing Poirot on the cover (see above). This tie-in is to be released by Harper Collins on the 7th of November. You can find more details here.
As of yet, we haven’t changed the interface of our app to utilise the new iOS 7 look and feel. It was very important to me to add all information before we effectively cut off users with older devices which cannot run iOS 7. Lucky for us all, this current version 1.5 will still run happily on iOS 5+6 and will always be available from the App Store, even if newer versions will require iOS 7 and later.
Enjoy the final three instalments of Poirot! You can get a season pass for Collection 9 from the iTunes UK Store.
In record time, Apple have just approved small updates in Bond Tracker and Poirot for iOS. Less than 18 hours after submission both updates are available immediately from the app store.
The new version addresses an issue that prevents the cancel button in the search feature from working under iOS 7. Other iOS versions are not affected.
